Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The Company
Commercial Fit out company looking for Quantity Surveyor to join their small commercial team. In forward thinking fashion this company have been pioneering working from home for years. As the new QS on the team you will work from home and occasionally visit sites in Dublin to attend meetings and ensure cost control. You will work on a variety of different commercial fit out, inclusive of industrial, hospitality, retail, educational.
The Role
- Responsible for pricing tender opportunities
- Analyse drawings, specifications, client pricing documentation and other documentation for inclusion in the BoQ.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure that cost planning and estimating are accurate
- Prepare accurate costings for the works.
- Detailed analysis of subcontractors’ and direct labour analysis
- preparation of plant & material schedules and risk assessment
- Carry out measurement and take-offs, pricing and entering the system
- Visit sites, log changes and agree.
Criteria:
- Degree qualified in QS
- 2 + years’ experience
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and PDF management.
- Able to navigate estimating systems eg Cost X
- Proficient in pricing and quantification methods.
- Required to visit sites at times and attend meetings if required to support management.
