Autocad Technician 

This established company manufactures and supplies high-end joinery and furniture to the commercial sector and prestigious residential clients throughout UK and Ireland.

In addition to their ever-growing Management team, they are excited to be recruiting a Joinery Auto-CAD Technician. This is a newly formed role providing plenty of scope for the right candidate to make the role their own. There will be plenty of career progression as this section of the business grows.

The role will involve working alongside the project managers assisting in the drawing and development of high-end bespoke furniture and joinery work.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Taking briefs and ideas from project managers, clients and designers to produce detailed working drawings.
  • Working with approved drawings to create production drawings.
  • Liaising closely with the Project Managers and Production Manager to establish cost-effective and efficient ways to manufacture projects within budget and to specification.
  • Once drawings have been approved engage in handover meetings with the Production Manager and providing ongoing support.
  • Ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Reviewing and updating Bill of Materials.
  • Procurement of project-specific materials.
  • Assist with any ad hoc tasks as and when required.

 

Experience & Attributes:

  • Have demonstrable experience of working as a CAD Technician.
  • Strong understanding of bespoke furniture and joinery.
  • Familiar with drawing for CNC programming.
  • Hold a relevant degree or qualification in design, architecture, furniture manufacture or similar.
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be confident in dealing with various stakeholders (clients, staff, architects, designers, etc).
  • Confident navigating various IT systems, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Able to work autonomously.
