An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Pharmaceutical Company based in Dublin. The business is currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join their ever-expanding team.

This is an exciting time to join a highly dedicated team of engineers, with a lot happening and an eager attitude to get jobs done. The successful candidate should have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Support the development of products through knowledge of the performance requirements, including all aspects of the product design criteria, product function and customer needs.
  • Ensure quality in product design for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability and manufacturability.
  • Ensure that all technical communication with the parties involved runs smoothly. This includes engineers, technicians, customers suppliers etc.
  • Have the ability to define customers technical requirements and act of both technical and functional specifications.
  • Support managers with defining work packages, planning and organising automation activities.
  • Execute test cases, maintain and report on automation equipment performance.
  • Responsible for all controls and automation equipment and systems within production area.
  • Modification of PLC’s input and output programming.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of the automation processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Qualified to a minimum HNC Level in a relevant subject.
  • Be well organised in approach to work.
  • Good communicator with ability to work well in a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude towards work, and willingness to continue to learn.
