A leading Automation company based in County Louth is looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to join their business. The successful individual should have around 2 years’ experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Safeguarded the automation process in respect of safe operations through regular checks and update of control systems.
  • Responsible for all controls and automation equipment and systems within production area.
  • Support managers with defining work packages, planning and organising automation activities.
  • Modification of PLC’s input and output programming.
  • Execute test cases, maintain and report on automation equipment performance.
  • Ensure quality in projects and products for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability and manufacturability.
  • Ensure high level of process automation, implement the automation strategy for the plant in close calibration with the engineering team and other functional departments.
  • Identify any root causes of automation faults/breakdowns and prioritise corrective actions to meet operational processing objectives.

Experience and Knowledge:

The successful candidate should have around 2 years’ experience as an Automation Engineer, with this they should hold extensive knowledge of the automation processes and procedures. They should be qualified to a minimum HNC Level in a relevant subject with good knowledge of the Manufacturing industry.
