Automation Engineer              Dungannon           £30-40K

There is an excellent opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join an expanding manufacturing company based in Dungannon.

This a great opportunity to be apart of a highly dedicated team of engineers which you will undertake plenty of technical work individually and as part of a team environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all controls and automation equipment and systems within the production area.
  • Safeguard the automation process in respect of safe operations through regular checks and update of control systems.
  • Support and communicate effectively with the Engineer Manager with defining work packages, planning and organising automation activities.
  • Ensure quality in projects for usability, reliability and manufacturability.
  • To design electrical control systems for specific customer requirements and to make sure they are of industry standards.
  • To identify any root causes of automation faults/breakdowns and prioritise corrective measures to meet the operational processing objectives.
  • Modifications of PLC’s input and output programming and design software.
  • Complete all documentation to the highest quality and oversee all acceptance testing.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years’ experience of Electrical Control systems.
  • Relevant experience with PLC controlled automation.
  • Qualified to a minimum HNC Level in a relevant subject.
  • Understanding of Hydraulic systems desirable.
  • Positive attitude towards work with a willing ness to continually learn.
  • Well organised approach to work.
