We are currently recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join our clients Team based in County Kildare. They are a busy Manufacturing company who are in a massive period of Growth at the moment and require an Automation Engineer to be responsible for managing, introducing, maintaining and troubleshooting various machines and equipment.

This role requires the correct candidate to have extensive experience in an Automation role with a vast amount of technical knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and work on custom automation solutions through the whole process until installation.
  • Carry out full Validation and handover to production of new equipment.
  • Lead & perform FAT/SAT at automation vendors.
  • Fault find and report defects
  • Implement improvements to result in savings or quality improvements
  • Integrate new equipment into existing systems
  • Provide training, direction and support
  • Verify accuracy of energy monitoring, reports and calibration procedures
  • Maintain correct stock levels for replacement parts
  • Provide technical support and solutions for both internal and external customers
  • Work to optimise the automation performance to deliver KPIs
  • Lead in the development of continuous integration and delivery od automation pipelines.

Key Skills

  • Degree in an Engineering Subject
  • 5+ years’ experience in an Automation Role
  • Experience with Injection Moulding
  • Strong understanding of Automation Tools
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience with Validation
  • Design & migration - Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests, alongside simulating protocols to validate that the machinery can do what is has been designed for
  • Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment
  • Experience with robotics, AI, machine learning & vision systems
  • Experience with PLC, Agile, HMI, APIs and SQL software and systems
  • Experience with cloud, Python, SCADA, C and JAVA software and systems
  • Technical report writing
  • Extensive stakeholder management and collaboration both internally and externally
