Family run business based in Dungannon is currently on the lookout for a Bid Writer/Manager to join their team and assist on winning projects. As an experienced Bid Writer, you will bring your expertise and knowledge, to support and assist the team. This contractor is well established and one of the leading building and public work contractors based in Northern Ireland.

The Role 

  • Assisting the bid/tender responses and ensuring all requirements from employers’ requirements, site surveys, site meetings, client feedback, method statements and programmes are communicated effectively to the relevant team.
  • Maintain registrations with appropriate authorities/bodies to ensure receipt of relevant EOI’s PQQ’s and tender notifications. 
  • Manage the review of portals for tender opportunities which are aligned to the sales and marketing opportunities and allocate leads to relevant team members.
  • Complete the required documentation and ensure submission within the required timescales.
  • Maintaining excellent internal relationships, understanding who to go to in order to gather relevant information and ensuring that good relations are kept with key individuals
  • Monitor and evaluate the success rates and conversions 
  • Maintain an effective archive structure for past submissions, continually enriching the bid information library as a key resource 
  • Manage the PQQ process including updating libraries, obtaining feedback and leading the continuous improvement process.
  • Extend business through desk research, customer feedback, client debriefs and post contract appraisals
  • Co-ordinate with the wider team to successfully close orders


What you need

  • Third Level Qualification in a related industry
  • Previous bid writing experience in the construction 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written
  • 4+ Years’ experience 
  • Team Player
