BIM Lead

Location – South Dublin

Salary: €60 - 75k

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing BIM activities across projects, ensuring consistent standards, effective model coordination and the accurate delivery of BIM information.

Working closely with design teams, project teams, subcontractors and other key stakeholders, you will play an important role in coordinating mechanical and electrical services and ensuring BIM deliverables are produced accurately and in line with project requirements and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with design teams, subcontractors and internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Lead and support BIM coordination activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain coordinated 3D models using BIM software.
  • Ensure models contain the appropriate level of graphical and data information required for each stage of the project.
  • Carry out clash detection and model reviews, identifying coordination issues and producing regular clash reports.
  • Review, coordinate and manage incoming and shared models from project stakeholders.
  • Oversee BIM modelling and drawing production using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical services within the BIM environment.
  • Manage and maintain relevant asset information and project data.
  • Produce accurate as-built drawings and contribute to the development of the Asset Information Model (AIM).
  • Produce mechanical and electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
  • Maintain BIM standards, procedures and agreed project workflows.
  • Work closely with project teams to resolve design and coordination issues.
  • Ensure BIM documentation, models and drawings are delivered accurately and in accordance with agreed project deadlines.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate should have:

  • A Level 7/8 qualification in Building Information Modelling, Engineering, Architecture or another relevant discipline.
  • Approximately 3–5 years' experience within BIM, building services, construction or a related environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A good understanding of BIM standards, procedures, protocols and information management processes.
  • Experience coordinating mechanical and electrical building services would be advantageous.
  • The ability to review models, identify clashes and work with project teams to develop practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects or workstreams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to technical problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider project team.
