Job Title – Contract Building Surveyor

Project – Industrial & Commercial Projects

Job Location – Limerick

Salary – €40K - €50K

About the Company

Exciting opportunity for a junior engineer or an experienced building surveyor to work with one of the top Main Contractors in Ireland. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working for a main contractor on a mixture of commercial, industrial and pharmaceutical projects in the Munster region.

The Role

• Oversee and take responsibility for QA/QC documents for the project.
• Perform inspections and tests on works to ensure that work is to a high standard.
• Inspect the quality of materials being used on site and ensure they are compliant with project specifications.
• Undertaking building condition surveys
• Undertaking building defect diagnosis inspections
• Preparing Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes
• Preparing tender documents & schedules of work
• Contract administration & project monitoring
• Quality assurance checks of ongoing or completed works
• Updating senior management on the progress and status of projects
• Preparing reports for senior management and clients
• Preparation of budget costings for proposed projects
• Project cost management & administration
• Undertaking Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessments for Insurance Purposes

Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering/ Building Surveying or related discipline.
• 2 years’ post graduate experience with a main contractor. (or relevant engineering experience)
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisational skills.
