The Company

Award winning construction company based in Mid Ulster area are looking for a Buyer to join their team. With an array of both private and public clients, delivering bespoke high quality projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, maintenance, residential, refurbishment, restoration, projects valued from £200k to £1 million.

The Role

• Sending purchase orders to suppliers.
• Correlating bills of quantities, drawings and specifications in order to create tender packages.
• Sending these packages to suppliers and receiving quotations.
• Analysing tender packages for the best supplier rates.
• Proactively expanding the current supply chain.
• Communicate with current suppliers aand negotiating prices.
• Working closely with quantity surveyors and buyers to maintain optimum levels of communication for the effective and efficient completion of tenders.
• Storing quotations.
• Gathering relevant documents in order to obtain Building Control Certification, which involves;
• Liaising with different boroughs to establish what is required.

Criteria

• 2+ years in a Buyer role with construction background
• Demonstrable knowledge of construction product and regulation
• Demonstrable experience of market research on pricing
• Qualifications in a relevant discipline may be advantageous
