The Company

An engineering and construction company are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North Dublin. The role is site based and working on project in North Dublin, they work on projects such as utilities, building, urban development, railways, infrastructure and public sector works.  

This contractor is extremely flexible in terms of remote working, you will report into the Commercial Director, providing attractive salary and package and opportunities for growth.

The Role

• Liaising with site team and buying / ordering materials in accordance with a PO System
• Checking stock levels on site to ensure materials are delivered to meet construction programmes
• Checking invoices / dockets/ orders to ensure correct rates are being charged
• Logging material orders / administrative duties
• Contacting suppliers to find best rates for materials

What you need

• 3+ years in a Buyer role
• Demonstrable experience of market research on pricing
• Qualifications in a relevant discipline may be advantageous
• Experience within the construction industry
• Highly motivated and ability to work independently.
