The Company

Prestigious Property Developer with a pristine reputation with multiple projects in Dublin and some further afield.

Seeking an experienced buyer, preferably has spent time ordering materials and dealing with suppliers within building industry. This role is a standalone role so looking someone who is an excellent negotiator, is innovative and forward thinking and has the ability to develop relationships with new suppliers, and maintaining those with existing. Our client has a very lean structure and they are looking a confident Buyer who will contribute to their success.

The Role

• Negotiate agreements and prices with suppliers.
• Ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures.
• Excellence negotiation and networking skills.
• Very strong IT, numerical and data analysis skills with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate cost savings on major spends
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;
• Manage company internal purchasing system in line with company policy, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities;
• Carry out regular supplier assessment of existing suppliers.

What you need

• Diploma in Procurement Ideally
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in construction procurement
• Ability to work against tight deadlines and timeframes
• Excellent negotiation skills and organisational skills
