We are currently recruiting for a purchasing specialist to join our clients team based in County Clare. Our client is a rapidly expanding precision engineering company who are keen to get an experienced and organised individual to join they’re team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a buyer with 2-3 years’ experience to join a growing manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers to source, get quotes and order materials while striving to minimise costs for the business.
• Track orders to ensure they arrive within the delegated time frame
• Ensure communication links are open with all stakeholders
• Day-to-day communication with different departments
• Maintain customs records
• Maintain purchasing KPIs and monitor and manage the inventory to meet demand and minimise waste.
• Compile and maintain accurate forecasts to ensure adequate inventory for production planning

Key Skills

• 2+ years purchasing/logistics experience
• Experience using ERP/SAP systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Customs Import/ Export Procedures Experience (Desired)
• Great problem-solving skills
