Job Location – Co. Fermanagh / Co. Cavan 

Salary – £35K - £40K DOE

 

About the Role:

A leading Manufacturing Company based in County Fermanagh are looking for a Buyer to join their business. They are looking for a self-motivated individual with good communication skills to jump on board and work in a team environment in order to aid the business in achieving their ambitious goals.

In this role, the successful candidate will ensure an effective and efficient purchasing system that will meet the company’s requirements to maintain their stock levels in stores and will generate and manage sales forecasting activities in order to produce a detailed purchasing plan that will meet the needs of the sales forecast.

 

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Report to the Commercial Manager of any relevant information that may be important and relevant.
  • Ensure that a suitable level of stock is maintained at all times in stores and have an organised system in place.
  • Determine stock requirements based on demand, from this place orders.
  • Place orders with varied supply base in order to meet customer demand.
  • Minimising stock holding and maintain pricing.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve any issues and to build upon relationships to help improve performance.
  • Keep customer service and sales fully informed on production information.
  • Liaise with other functional departments within the company to resolve any queries and streamline processes.
  • Plan, monitor and report on material levels to optimise production.
  • Identify any areas for cost saving, targeted inventory reduction or improve efficiency.

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Buyer within Manufacturing Industry. (Food Industry beneficial).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Business or Supply Chain related discipline.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication
  • Ability to communicate strongly and form good working relationships.
  • Ability to be a strong negotiator.
  • Ability to be a good team player.
  • Have good organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
