INFORM3 are seeking to recruit an ambitious Buyer to work collaboratively with the commercial team to create a best-in-class service. The ideal candidate thrives in a responsive environment and has a passion for developing high quality systems using the latest management tools.

Typical Day as a Buyer: -

• To source and order construction materials, plant and services in line with project requirements
• Take off materials from drawings and bills of quantities liaising with the commercial team
• Identifying potential cost saving opportunities within existing supply chain through proactive procurement
• Invoice checking and authorising including querying any discrepancies
• Dealing with site teams and supplier queries and issues
• Managing inventory and stock producing reports and databases
• Review, vet and management of supply chain including insurances and accreditations
• Work with quantity surveyors for estimating and pricing new works

What you’ll need

• Previous buying experience for construction projects
• Proficiency in Excel and Program Software
• Commercial awareness
• Accurate and consistent approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to engage with clients at all levels
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction sector
• Strong knowledge of application of procurement techniques
