CAD and 3D Designer

 

INFORM3 are looking for a CAD Designer/Technician with experience in 3D visualisation to join the design team within the production department, working within the high end fit out industry on a permanent full-time basis.

This role requires someone who is able to present to the company’s clients a 3d walkthrough or visualisation of the project and also maybe helping out in the workshop with CAD drawings. This is a new role in the company so if you only have some experience in either CAD or 3D work there is an opportunity to learn and grow your skills.

 

Duties will involve:

  • Supporting the senior design manager / Director in coordinating the full design
  • Liaise with project and contracts managers to plan overall production activity and daily manufacturing requirements
  • Utilise manufacturing software packages to program product to run through our manufacturing processes
  • Manufacture and installation of projects
  • Oversee the process from start to finish
  • Working on high profile projects within the interior fit out sector
  • Refine engineering detail and assembly documentation for manufacturing
  • Work with approved drawings to create production drawings

 

CAD Designer/ Technician requirements:

  • Have a thorough understanding of joinery production and installation processes 3D CAD experience essential (Solid works and Rhino or similar)
  • Experience in designing & drawing staircases
  • Knowledge of CAM/CNC milling processes desirable
  • Some knowledge of joinery and furniture manufacture
  • Good written & verbal communication skills (able to accurately convey concepts and designs to fabricators & clients)
  • Experience with the following software packages: AutoCad, Microvellium, 3D Design Software, Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, or similar software
