Civil Engineer / Tendering Bid Pre Construction
Co Antrim Civil Engineering Contractor is recruiting for someone with a civil engineering background who would like to move into the commercial department. This contractor works on projects from £500k - £10M + you will get exposure tendering and working with the commercial team on a range of different on complex projects.
Reporting into the Commercial Director you will be responsible for project stakeholders in the preparation and delivery of tender documentation on a wide variety of Civil Engineering projects.
Job Duties:
The following reflect the main duties associated with this role and are not intended to be
exclusive and exhaustive:
- Deliver technical submissions for prequalification’s and tenders
- Prepare tender programmes and traffic management plans for tender submissions
- To review contract documents
- To research information for submissions
- To manage inputs from a variety of internal stakeholders
- To carry out risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
- To provide presentations to clients
- To undertake any other reasonable duties
Essential Criteria
- A degree (or equivilant) in Civil Engineering or construction related discipline
- Previous bid experience and project delivery experience on a range of Civil Engineering projects
- Previous experience of MS Project and AutoCAD
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
- Ability to write detailed, high quality technical responses
- Driving Licence
Salary will depend on the persons experience.
