Civil Engineer – Wexford

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Project Manager for a road / utility project initially for Wexford but after 6 months moving onto Kildare. It is vital that the successful candidate is able to work independently and is driven to complete the task at hand whilst coordinating with site management and the client. They will be required to undertake surveying, setting out and site supervision work while keeping records of all site activities. The candidate will work for a client that has many years of experience in the civil engineering industry and puts pride in quality work and forming genuine and long last relationships with clients.

 

 

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for overseeing structure activity and staff, ensuring compliance with company procedures throughout. Regularly report to the project manager.
  • Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
  • Management of health and safety on site
  • Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy
  • Communicating with clients and their representatives
  • Resolving any unexpected technical issues.
  • Managing paperwork
  • Ensuring all staff receive full site inductions and briefings
  • Ensure competence of staff
  • Hold and/or attend regular review/updating meetings with the wider team
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of works to the site manager

 

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Civil Engineer background, 2-3 years’ experience
  • Excellent organisational communication skills
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Full driving licence
  • Setting out knowledge
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
