Civil Engineer
Job Location: North Derry/L’Derry

Inform3 are recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a civils contractor to work on utility projects in Derry/L’Derry.
The client is seeking a candidate who is able to work off their own initiative and carry responsibility looking to progress in a new role.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance and construction staff, conducting risk assessments and safety inspections per standards.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and third parties
- Undertake site surveys, feasibility studies, and project evaluations, producing related reports.
- Prepare and coordinate designs, planning submissions, tender documents, appraisals, and project reviews in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Manage and report on maintenance and construction projects to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery within budget.
- Liaise with environmental bodies to ensure that environmental requirements are agreed.
- Review and respond to planning applications.
- Engage with volunteers, event organisers, and user groups to support community involvement and recreation.
- Communicate with residents, landowners, and stakeholders on maintenance and management issues.
- Collaborate with authorities and groups to develop infrastructure and secure external funding or resources.
- Oversee use of navigation and land assets, enforcing Byelaws as an Authorised Officer.
- Possess an awareness of the health, safety and welfare legislation relevant to maintenance & construction works and apply these as appropriate.
Civil Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineer or Construction Management Degree
- Extremely motivated and driven to succeed
- Previous experience 1yr + in water/design industry
- Strong numeracy skills
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Previous experience working on a variety of civil projects
- Full driving licence
