Civil Engineer

Inform3 are recruiting for an established civil engineering contractor who is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure projects across the renewable energy, utilities, and roadworks sectors in Tipperary.
The successful candidate will work alongside project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Projects may include renewable energy infrastructure, utility installations, drainage works, road improvement schemes, earthworks, and associated civil engineering packages. The role will involve a mix of site-based engineering, coordination, quality assurance, and project support duties.
The spec is aligned with current civil engineering opportunities in Tipperary - Munster area, across utilities, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Civil Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion
- Carry out setting out, surveying, and site engineering duties using GPS/Total Station equipment
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site crews
- Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
- Monitor quality control and maintain accurate site records
- Support project managers with programme tracking, reporting, and cost control
- Liaise with clients, consultants, utility providers, and local authorities as required
- Assist with procurement of materials and coordination of plant/equipment
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards
- Attend site meetings and contribute to progress reporting
Civil Engineer Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in civil engineering, utilities, renewable energy, roadworks, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with setting out and surveying equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of drainage, earthworks, concrete, and utility installation works
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and within project teams
- Full clean driving licence
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications desirable
