Inform3 are recruiting for a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor based in the Mid-West, with a strong track record delivering civil and infrastructure projects. The company has an expanding portfolio of renewable energy and utilities projects and is looking to strengthen its engineering team for a number of upcoming solar farm and substation projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of solar farm and substation projects across Limerick, Tipperary and Clare.

The Role

The Senior Site Engineer will take responsibility for the technical delivery of civil works on site, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management team, subcontractors and consultants.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Managing all setting out and surveying requirements.
  • Reviewing construction drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Monitoring quality and completing QA/QC documentation.
  • Managing technical queries and resolving issues on site.
  • Monitoring project progress against programme.
  • Providing technical guidance to Junior and Site Engineers.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress.
  • Ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are maintained.

Civil Engineer Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • 5+ years' post-graduate experience.
  • Strong setting out and surveying experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working on civil/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage technical aspects of a project.
  • Full driving licence.

Experience across solar farms, substations, utilities, roads, groundworks or other major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
