Civil Engineer
Location: Down/Antrim
Sector: Civil
Inform3 are currently looking recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineer to join an established construction contractor delivering a range of projects across Northern Ireland.
Current projects are located across areas including Belfast, Antrim and Down, with a strong focus on residential/social housing and Northern Ireland Water projects. Experience and knowledge of deep drainage and general civils is essential.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a varied workload, increased responsibility and the opportunity to progress within the company.
Civil Engineer Job Role:
- Provide regular reports and liaise with the Project Manager
- Review site drawings, specifications and ensure accurate setting out
- Supervise and coordinate site teams
- Coordinate plant, machinery and equipment
- Order materials as required
- Maintain site diaries and timesheets
- Manage traffic on site
- Liaise with clients, consultants and project staff
- Assist with emergency situations when required
- Deliver toolbox talks and Health & Safety briefings
- Attend site meetings
- Act as a technical point of contact on site
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
Civil Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification
- 2+ years' experience in a civil engineering/site-based role
- Strong knowledge of civils and deep drainage
- Experience working on contractor-led projects
- Ability to take responsibility and work on own initiative
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing site requirements
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Full driving licence
