Civil Engineer

INFORM3 currently seeking an experienced civil engineer to join an established civil engineering and construction contractor, working on a major public realm development project in the West Cork region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to become involved in the delivery of a significant infrastructure project, overseeing site engineering activities and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site engineering activities across public realm and civil engineering works.
- Setting out, surveying and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and plant operations.
- Monitor progress and assist with planning and sequencing of works.
- Carry out quality checks, inspections and maintain accurate site records.
- Liaise with project management, design teams and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise on site.
Civil Engineer Requirements:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Previous experience in a Site Engineer or Civil Engineer role.
- Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong setting-out and surveying skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of construction methods, quality control and health and safety.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in relevant surveying equipment and engineering software.
