Civils Foreman - NI

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Civils Foreman to work on a variety of civil projects in Northern Ireland with some travel to the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor that is growing due to an increase in demand for their specialist services.

The client is seeking a Civils Foreman with experience in managing projects involving earthworks, landscaping, groundworks and utilities.

 

Civils Foreman Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project Manager
  • Manage direct and sub-contractor staff, ensuring there is continuously communication
  • Organise site activities and relay duties to each site team
  • Manage Heavy Plant, Machinery and equipment, checking that all are fit for purpose and safe to use
  • Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork as required daily and properly including but not limited to: Time sheets, Pre-Task Planning Sheets, daily journal/diary, weekly safety report, receiving reports, change/time off, work order, etc.
  • Order in materials when needed
  • Monitor the progress of your work against the planned production goals.
  • Deliver regular tool box talk briefings to the site team
  • Chair and Attend Site Meetings discussing targets and objectives
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered too and company policies are followed
  • Assist in Emergency situations
  • Manage traffic on site
  • Liaise with Clients / Consultancies / the Public when appropriate

 

Civils Foreman Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Construction Manager or Supervisor Background
  • 5 + years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in managing site teams
  • Experience working with heavy machinery, plant and equipment
  • Excellent communicator
  • Highly organised
  • Full Driving License
