Civils Manager– Galway

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Civils Manager to join a busy contractor working on a utility project in Galway with further work in Connaught and Leinster.

The successful candidate required will come from a Construction Management or Civil Engineer background and have previous experience working on a variety of utility projects.

The client is a prosperous Civil Engineering Contractor with highly experienced management and site teams and are currently expanding their team.


Civils Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project Manager
  • Direct the site as per the Project Plan
  • Ensure the site is safe to complete work
  • Monitor health & safety on site, checking all site staff are adhering to regulations
  • Direct Plant, Machinery and Equipment, conducting weekly checks
  • Monitor Traffic on site, directing when appropriate
  • Order in materials when needed
  • Complete on a regular basis the site diary, allocation sheets, time sheets, record of labour, progress report sheets, plant returns, material returns and local site purchase sheets
  • Conduct toolbox talks and briefings
  • Chair Site Meetings
  • Attend Site Management meetings


Civils Manager Specification:

  • Civil Engineer / Construction Management Degree or extensive management experience
  • 5 years plus experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing civils site teams
  • Experience in heavy plant operations – desirable, not essential
  • Utility experience is highly desirable
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
