INFORM3 are recruiting for a Civils Site Foreman who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and groundworks projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The role involves supervising site crews, coordinating subcontractors, managing plant and materials, and ensuring works progress in line with project programmes.

We are recruiting for an established Irish civil engineering and construction contractor operating across the Leinster and North-East regions. They deliver a range of infrastructure, groundworks and civil engineering projects for public and private sector clients.

Civils Site Foreman Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising groundworks, drainage, utilities, roads, kerbing, concrete works, and associated civil engineering activities.
  • Managing site labour, subcontractors, and plant operators.
  • Ensuring all works comply with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Coordinating daily work schedules and monitoring productivity.
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Liaising with engineers, project managers, clients, and utility providers.
  • Conducting toolbox talks and site safety briefings.
  • Monitoring quality standards and resolving on-site issues.
  • Maintaining site records, progress reports, and safety documentation.
  • Assisting in planning upcoming phases of work and resource requirements.

 

Civils Site Foreman Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising civil engineering or groundworks projects.
  • Strong knowledge of drainage, utilities installation, roadworks, and concrete construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain project programmes.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between project locations.
