CNC Operator - Cork

Due to continued expansion a successful Manufacturing Company is looking to recruit a CNC Operator to assist the ever-increasing demand of their products and services. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of the industry and be a hard-working individual with the willingness to learn.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team of individuals and from this further develop your skills and knowledge of using and operating CNC machines. The role also comes with the opportunity to be trained in the programming aspect of the role.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Machining of company products to conform to drawing tolerances.
  • Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary.
  • Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all components are manufacture to drawing and are within specified tolerances/quality standards.
  • Cut material to size using a variety of machines.
  • Program, probe and set the machines when necessary.
  • Produce and verify CNC programs and products.
  • Self-assess work in accordance with company standards.
  • Shape, fold, bend, punch and drill components.
  • Develop new products as and when required on a frequent basis.
  • Work within a team to produce machined projects.

Experience and Knowledge:

Have around 1 years’ experience using CNC equipment within the Manufacturing Industry. Having programming knowledge is good, however there will be training offered as the company are very willing to train up staff to the level they require.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Hard working individual with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Positive with a proactive approach to work.
