We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist for our client who are a leading manufacturing firm currently undergoing a period of expansion based in Co. Tyrone.

This role is best suited to someone is ambitious and who has a knowledge and understanding of operation of CNC machines and wants to develop their career further within the Manufacturing Industry.

The position would be best suited to someone who has experience with CNC Lathe and Milling.

The role would involve a Monday - Friday day shift set hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To make sure that all work complies with the policies and regulations.
  • Operate CNC drilling and doweling machine and ensure they are working to production schedules provided and are working to maximum capacity.
  • To read, understand and correctly implement technical drawings.
  • The undertake routine checks in order maintain the machines/equipment in order to make sure they are in correct working order and to provide any detail malfunctions or deviations to a team leader or a production supervisor.
  • Operate and have an understanding of 3axis- 4axis Machines.
  • Review Setup Instruction pack, Set Tooling and Machines as per instruction
  • Prove out Initial Setups
  • Has an understanding of how to run one or more machines when required.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision while maintaining levels of expectation.
  • Show understanding and ability to read drawing specifications.
  • Use of inspection of equipment in order to inspect the work.
  • Communication to next shift in regards to any malfunction to production schedule in order to achieve targets.
  • Contribute to safe working environment and ensuring that PPE is maintained at all times.
  • To work in accordance with relevant Risk Assessments & safe systems of work (SSOW’s) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s), as per training and instruction

Essentials for this role:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience operating CNC machines 3 axis and 4 axis.
  • Knowledge of CNC lathe with power driven tooling and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and or Mazatrol CNC control systems advantageous.
  • Experience of working in ISO 9001-2008 quality environment.
  • Time management and organised.
  • Attention to detail.
