CNC Technician - Galway

CNC Technician                 Gort, Co. Galway           €30-40K

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a CNC Technician for a highly recognised Manufacturing Company that has vast experience within the manufacturing industry to become part of their well-established team.

This ideal candidate needs to have knowledge and understanding of set-up and programming of CNC Machines to provide excellent quality product.

This role is suited to someone who has relevant experience in quality regulated manufacturing environment with machine tool experience preferred.

Duties Include:

• Support and assist the production supervisor and team leader to ensure the smooth running of the production area.
• Ensure maximum output on all production equipment/machines.
• Program and set up CNC machines as required
• Program and set up Robots and Automata parts handling systems in Tube Machining Cells
• Work closely with Engineering to develop new product designs at optimum pricing and cycle times
• Program, set up and automate new product designs
• Design tooling and fixtures for existing processes and for new products (backstops, collets, headstocks, tailstocks and rotary tables)
• Review machining processes and implement tooling improvements to optimize production and reduce cycle times
• Troubleshoot Quality problems and assist in implementing solutions
• Investigate tooling breakages and put preventative measures in place
• Work with Production and Maintenance to maintain equipment in CNC machining areas
• Participate in the daily scheduling of jobs through the department.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience working as a CNC Technician.
• CAD/CAM experience.
• Experience using various types of measuring equipment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
