INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a CNC Turner who will carry out skilled work as a CNC lathe turner, operate the CNC machine to perform the allotted tasks to meet agreed targets, criteria and deadlines.

The successful manufacturing company based in County Cork are looking for someone who will be responsible for allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with the Manager and contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.

Duties Include:

• Lad/unload parts, distinguishing and identifying proper tooling/collets/fixtures.
• Programming and set up CNC to complete new product and different functions.
• Change the tooling of the CNC machine.
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust machine control, including part process.
• Verify “first piece inspection” using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Post edit CNC programme to “fine tune” process for optimum performance.
• Generally monitor the work being undertaken and completed, testing and taking critical measurements to identify problems and the need for adjustment and to immediately make any adjustments as necessary.
• Undertake CNC, inspection, maintenance and cleaning (including fluid check etc).

Experience Required:

• Knowledge of insert type of CNC as applicable e.g., FANUC Controls.
• 2+ years’ experience as CNC Turner or similar role.
• Requisite knowledge of the machinery, tools, equipment, and materials common to the role.
• Proven skills in insert as applicable.
• Deliver good customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
