Construction Estimator - Belfast

INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

Role – Construction Estimator

Location – Belfast

Project – Fitout

Salary – £35K - £45K

About the Company:

Working alongside a reputable Fit Out Contractor known for delivering high value projects for a range of clients and government bodies they have a requirement for an experienced Estimator to join their team.

Their established commercial team requires an experience estimator to come in with a hands-on approach to new projects and correspond with their offices in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide estimating expertise and leadership to compile a compliant tender bid.
• Work with operational teams to establish programme and prelim elements as well as agreeing early win strategies to enhance win rate.
• Your primary function will include engaging new and existing supply chain members to ensure best market quotations.
• Daily duties include diligently maintaining good progress to meet tender deadlines.
• To carry out a high-level tender review of tender documentation and prepare summary reports.
• To review contract tender information and identify incomplete elements and request details from the client through a TQ process.
• To liaise with Operations Teams to ensure that all safety and environmental matters have been considered within our bid. Reporting;
• Provide weekly general update to Senior Management.
• Ensure adequate records are kept of relevant matters.
• Provider analysis reports on subcontractors.
• Maintain win rate ratios and feedback to Senior Management.

Specification:

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
• A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience working with a Main Contractor. 
• Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal.
• Excellent Negotiator.
• Experience and knowledge of construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Excel.
