About the Company   

Company has over 75 years of experience in the construction industry and has had multi million euro projects spanning across all sectors including retail, residential and commercial

 

The role          

Based in Cork INFORM3 construction team are looking for a Project Manager who has experience with Projects in around 10+M. The role will be responsible for potentially looking after a couple of projects based on experience - Contracts Manager experience is advantageous but not necessary. The projects are commerical and residential/

 

Key Responsibilities   

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain excellent experience with potential for personal growth and career advancement.

As a project manager work closely and report to the contracts manager/director to ensure business objectives and project strategies are met and exceeded.

Manage site staff and all contractors on a day to day basis

Establish Construction Programmes for projects.

Design reviews and recommendations to improve savings, ease construction programme, enhance specification and quality.

Commercially minded – work with project QS’s to manage project finances and work to achieve company targets.

Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials

Maintain maximum cost effectiveness.

Co-ordinate and liaise with contracts manager, Site Engineers and services Co-ordinator to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.

Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practise.

Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.

Establish project resource requirements and lead \ motivate the project team

Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations

Responsible for Health and Safety

 

Job Requirements       

Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Proven experience and track record of managing projects from inception to completion

Must have at least 8 years’ experience working as a Project Manager on building projects

Be proficient in Microsoft project and all aspects of managing a programme

Experience of leading a team of Site Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors

Experience reporting into senior management level on commercial and delivery issues

Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
