Contracts Engineer / Supervisor – Scotland

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Contracts Engineer / Supervisor for various civil projects across Scotland. The client is an experienced Civil Engineering Contractor that has an extensive list of projects that they have completed on time and won awards for the Health and Safety displayed on site and also the quality of their work.

The successful candidate must be able to manage civil teams and have previous experience working on roads, drainage, surfacing, kerbing etc


Contracts Engineer / Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Senior Management
  • Develop each project as per the project plan
  • Supervise and mentor Junior Engineers and Site Staff
  • Liaise with Sub-contractors communicating clearly on their objectives
  • Ensure each project is safe to carry out work
  • Organise Plant, Machinery and Equipment on site
  • Order in materials
  • Ensure works meet Clients’ standards
  • Manage traffic on site
  • Conduct Toolbox talks
  • Conduct Site Meetings
  • Manage emergency situations
  • Ensure deadlines and targets are met
  • Attend Senior Management meetings


Contracts Engineer / Supervisor Specification:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or Construction Management Background
  • 3 years plus experience in a similar role
  • Experience in working on a variety of civil projects
  • Experience in managing civil teams
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office
  • Motivated and Driven
  • Full driving licence
