Contracts Engineer – Laois
INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Contracts Engineer for a number of projects in Laois and the surrounding counties. The client is an experienced Civil Engineering Contractor that has an extensive list of projects that they have completed on time and won awards for the Health and Safety displayed on site and also the quality of their work.
The successful candidate must be very confident and experienced in working on Civil projects and managing multiple site teams.
Contracts Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Senior Management
- Develop each project as per the project plan
- Supervise and mentor Junior Engineers and Site Staff
- Ensure works are completely safely
- Schedule and Coordinate Plant and Machinery on site
- Order in materials
- Completing all works to the client and local authorities’ standards.
- Complete hazard and risk assessment reports
- Capable of working on complex projects with minimal supervision
- Check quality standards are met by all staff
- Ensure that Health and Safety is adhered to
- Manage traffic on site
- Conduct Toolbox talks
- Conduct Site Meetings
- Attend Senior Management meetings
Contracts Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineering Degree
- 4 years plus experience in a similar role
- Experience in working on a variety of civil projects
- Experience in managing civil projects and civil teams
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Full driving licence
