Contracts Manager / Business Development (Civils)
Rightpath are currently recruiting for Contracts Managers for a well-established, market leader and specialist civil engineering contractor from NI. You will be joining a rapidly growing team, ideally, they are looking for someone who is willing to travel 2 nights a week to the UK.
The role will entail travelling to the UK to oversee the construction and commercial aspects of delivering live projects via the businesses highly experienced site teams. You must be happy to work away 2 nights a week. The candidate will be experienced at this level of management and have prior experience working in roads and civil construction and have a thorough understanding of the industry from a construction and contractual basis.
The role will also involve leading multiple projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget also ensuring that the company’s safety and environmental standards are being adhered to. As the Contracts Manager, you will be working on a wide variety of projects at once, managing customer relationships and looking to ensure the businesses meets and exceeds their expectations at all times. As Contracts Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all allocated projects.
You will be expected to liaise with the clients, be the main point of contact and finalise requirements and prepare proposals. As the Contracts Manager, you will need to provide solutions, advice and expertise to the client. You must be confident in presenting and reporting to the Senior Management Team / Board on project progress, risks and issues. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of Health and Safety at site level, and for forecasting & managing resources/productivity on the projects.
Your role will also entail heading up expansion into new markets in the UK and Scotland as well as maintaining continued growth with existing clients. You will provide a high quality presentation material for interviews and public events on behalf of the group while identifying potential new business opportunities.
