Contracts Manager – Northern Ireland

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Contracts Manager for a variety of civil projects based in Northern Ireland. The client has over 25 years in the Civil Engineering Industry and has a great depth of expertise within their team. The client believes that hard work should always be at the front of all work and they value commitment and determination. The successful candidate will have an extensive civils background and be experienced in managing civil projects particularly roads, utilities, groundworks, and earthworks etc.

 

Contracts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Report regularly to the Directors
  • Be the point of contact for Clients
  • Establish new lines of business
  • Develop existing lines of business
  • Ensure each project is being run as to the specified Project Plan
  • Manage Project Managers, Foremen, Senior Engineers etc
  • Ensure each Site Management team provide regular updates and are on schedule and within budget
  • Conduct regular meetings with Site Management and ensure that all site reports are processed
  • Maintain a high level of Health and Safety on each project and a top level of quality workmanship
  • Maintain a successful line of communication to Site Management making sure that all tasks are communicated correctly
  • Attend individual site meetings with the wider site team, addressing any issues or problems
  • Regularly visits sites conducti inspections

 

Contracts Manager Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree
  • 10 years or more relevant experience in a similar position
  • Able to multi-task effectively, managing several projects and teams
  • Extremely motivated and hardworking
  • Expert analytical and decision-making skills
  • Technical and practical knowledge of the Civil Engineering industry
  • Full understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and regulation
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Highly ambitious
  • Full Driving License
