Contracts Manager – Galway

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Contracts Manager for utility projects based across the West of Ireland. The successful candidate will join a large Civils Contractor with over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the industry. The client requires a confident individual that has a wealth of knowledge in utilities and strong in managing multiple projects and teams.

Contracts Manager Responsibilities:

• Report regularly to the Directors and Senior Management Team
• Establish Project Programmes for each project
• Be part of the selection process for sub-contractors
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors, ensuring they have clear objectives
• Regularly meet with Site Management teams, delegate work effectively
• Attend Sites, coordinating inspections
• Ensure all sites are completed within their given time frame, budget and quality standards
• Ensure all site teams adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Chair Site Meetings when appropriate
• Liaise with the Client, ensuring all requirements are exceeded
• Coordinate Site Management meetings, gathering reports on site progress
• Attend Senior Management meetings discussing progress, deadlines and budgets

Contracts Manager Requirements:

• Civil Engineer or Construction Management Degree
• 8 years plus relevant experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Able to multi-task effectively
• Self-motivated and ambitious
• Strong Analytical and decision-making skills
• Technical and practical knowledge of the civil engineering industry
• Expert knowledge of utilities
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills
• Full understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and regulation
• Full Driving License
