About the Company

Main Building Contractor is looking for a Contracts manager to oversee various projects relating to residential / social housing. This contractor has invested huge infrastructure in Ireland to accommodate their workload for the large projects they have. This role is urgent and the successful candidate will receive immediate interviews.




The Role


  • You will be responsible for all site works, design coordination, review of planning conditions, site visits/inspections and internal reporting.
  • Issuing of monthly reports to the Senior Management team and commercial dept.
  • Your role is to manage all the Site Teams and the Q. S’s for various projects on the ground.
  • Manage the Design Team, Architects, Structural Engineers
  • Chairing meetings, publishing minutes checking follow up actions recording actions taken and ensuring there are no hold points causing delays to progress on site.
  • Review tender submissions, appoint sub-contractors and monitor their progress.
  • Report back on-site progress on a monthly basis and am part of the Key Decision-making team for all the projects





  • 10+ Years’ Experience
  • Extensive experience of managing various projects within 20 – 30M
  • Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting
  • Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent) SMSTS CSCS card
  • Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for a number of multi-discipline projects
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both customers and all levels of staff
  • Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Strong IT Skills
