Job Title – Contracts Manager (Construction) 

Project – €100M + Commercial

Job Location – Dublin  

Salary – €100K plus + travel

 

About the Company

My client is a progressive Tier 1 Building Contractor who specialise in commercial and industrial projects valued up to €100M.

 This role would suit an Experienced Contracts Manager who has managed projects valued over €50M from early tender and preconstruction stages through to onsite delivery and handover.

Projects range across multiple industry sectors – hospitality, educational, healthcare, pharma, data centre.

The Role

  • Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
  • Assist in tender submittals and design approval.
  • Oversee a portfolio of commercial and high-rise residential developments across Dublin.
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
  • Report to and support the Contracts Director and Construction Director to ensure smooth completion of projects.  
  • Monitor and manage project budget.
  • Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
  • Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Projects Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager with a Main Contractor or Property Developer in Dublin.
  • Proven record of overseeing projects valued over €5M from inception to completion.
  • Background in engineering is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines and update the programme when necessary.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
