This role is suited to someone who has a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Process Engineering industry, ability to learn on the job and work within a great team that strive for improvement.

Roles Include:

  • Apply, develop, design, and evaluate controls and vision aspects of equipment and/or processes. Requirement for novel and innovative approaches
  • Manage controls and vison aspects of projects related to product & equipment development.
  • Liaise with R&D teams as required, providing design for manufacture (& design for test) input on component / assembly development projects.
  • Identify obsolete components and source alternatives. Design modifications to enable upgrades.
  • Maintain and apply a level of technical expertise across the site, sufficient to act as a point of reference for team members & colleagues, to resolve complex problems of repair/fix and give technical direction.
  • Analyse downtime faults and causes and create effective PPM and TPM activities.
  • Contribute to problem solving workshops, providing automation expertise to identify root causes of failures and the subsequent improvement actions
  • Sourcing and procurement of spare components
  • Maintain backups of all control systems parameters and programs. PLC, HMI, drives, inverters, etc.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 4+ years Process Engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Cognex InSight vision systems
  • PLC programming is essential.
  • Python and SQL knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience applying Six Sigma or equivalent structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Automation experience, equipment validation and documentation is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
