Our client based in Cork is recruiting for a Control Engineer with an electrical bias to join their expanding team. You will be working on all aspects of the project lifecycle from design to overseeing production and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will be degree-educated in a relevant subject with excellent technical skills and a keen interest in research and development.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design input information to produce control system designs
• Creation of electrical schematics and control panel layouts
• Design and development of PLC and HMI software for existing and future products
• Development of automated tests and quality control measures
• Identify issues and create solutions
• Design and execute test plans to qualify prototypes.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Good knowledge AutoCAD  
• PLC & HMI programming
• Electrical background, proven experience of writing/modifying PLC controls software
• Experience in preparing specifications, design review documents and testing reports.
• Strong practical approach to problem solving.
