Design Engineer - Northern Ireland

Design Engineer         Dungannon       £28-30K

A leading Manufacturing company located in Dungannon is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their expanding team. The successful candidates will play a key role in the design and development of company production projects.

You will be tasked with providing effective and innovative product and project design solutions to ensure the company remain a market leader within the industry they operate in.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Relay information about the status of the project with the senior design team and the project managers.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
• To ensure all drawings and designs meet the companies’ standards.
• To communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager and Design team to ensure that everything is being done accordingly.
• To communicate effectively with other work colleagues to help support the production and help with engineering information.
• Relay information about the status of the project with the senior design team and the project managers.
• To contact relevant personnel in order to source the correct components and materials in order to improve product design.
• Support and help with the guidance of production engineering processes.

Experience and Knowledge for the Role:

• Degree or equivalent or 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic and Electrical systems.
• Experience of Solidworks.
• Proficient understanding of CAD systems.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Efficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Be proactive and positive in work.
