About the Company:

A leading Manufacturing company located in Tyrone is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their ever-expanding team. The successful candidates will play a key role in the design and development of company projects.

You will be tasked with providing effective and innovative product and project design solutions to ensure the company remain a market leader within the industries they work in.

You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager on a regular basis and will be essential in guiding projects through all phases.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop maintain and amend mechanical design drawings using 3D CAD Software packages.
  • Ensure all drawings and designs meet company standards.
  • Support specific projects ensuring timescales and budget requirements are achieved.
  • Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Design manufacturing equipment and projects for company clients.
  • Liaising with clients and other functional workplace departments to ensure intent is met and drawing approval is achieved as efficiently as possible.
  • Relay information about the status of the project with the senior design team and the project managers.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-4+ years’ experience in mechanical Design Engineering within materials handling industry.
  • Understanding of Mechanical systems in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of SolidWorks / AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of production of BOM.
  • Understanding of automation and control systems in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work well and contribute within a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Be proactive and positive in work.
