Design Manager

Our client is a dynamic market leader in the fit-out arena and currently require a Design Manager to join their team.  Their name is synonymous with quality and have worked on numerous high-profile projects in Ireland and further afield.  This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a company that are undergoing unprecedented growth and a real opportunity for career progression.

This role could suit two types of people. Someone who is a designer and would like to take the step into a Design Manager role or an experienced Design Manager just looking a change.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure structural drawings and designs are produced on time and to a high quality.
• Motivate and encouraging design team.
• Oversee the design process using technical expertise.
• Work with clients to ensure that their expectations are met.
• Review designs with health and safety in mind.
• Avoid errors and reducing financial risk during construction.
• Ensure designs are available to those who need them, at the appropriate time.
• Maintain thorough documentation of the design process.
• Work in an office, with occasional site visits.

Criteria

• 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of planning and building regulations.
• Possess excellent presentation, communication and management skills.
• Third level qualification in a construction related discipline desirable.
