INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

 

Job Title – Design Manager  

Project – Commercial Projects

Job Location – Co. Down

Salary – £40K - £60K (Based on Experience)   

 

About the Company

Very Busy Contractor Tier 1 Contractor who work on a range of new build & fit out projects across NI and ROI.  

They are extremely busy, and have secured multiple new contracts across Ulster and North Leinster ranging in valued from £5M to £30M across a range of sectors.

They require an experienced Design Manager with a proven record of working on high value new build developments – ideally will have D&B and PT Design experience.  

 

The Role

  • Managing large scale projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to head design meetings, writing reports and giving presentations
  • Lead and Organise design to suit project requirements
  • Review key materials and interfaces to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide long-term durable solutions without exposing the company to unnecessary latent maintenance or H&S risks.
  • Review tender drawings and assist the Estimating team in understanding any gaps or risks within the tender design
  • Contribute to the compilation of the project handover documentation, O&M manuals, H&S files, Building User Guides and as-built information
  • Development and chief design programmes ensuring correct legislation, standards and codes of practice are met
  • Contribute to the compilation of the project handover documentation, O&M manuals, H&S files, Building User Guides and as-built information.

 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4/5 years proven experience with a Main Contractor in Northern Ireland, ROI or UK.
  • Experience with Design & Build and Post Tension Designs on a large scale.
  • Full Driving License – travel to sites / client meetings will be required throughout the projects.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current building regulations.
  • Able to use a computer and main software packages.
