Design Technician

Location: Portadown

Working with a building & fit out company that is successful in various industry sectors, including residential, retail and high end commercial as well as marine fit out. They operate throughout Ireland and the UK.

Their workload has increased recently and the need for Designers to join their team! 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure structural drawings and designs are produced on time and to a high quality.
• Motivate and encouraging design team.
• Oversee the design process using technical expertise.
• Work with clients to ensure that their expectations are met.
• Review designs with health and safety in mind.
• Avoid errors and reducing financial risk during construction.
• Ensure designs are available to those who need them, at the appropriate time.
• Maintain thorough documentation of the design process.
• Work in an office, with occasional site visits.

Criteria

• 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of planning and building regulations.
• Possess excellent presentation, communication and management skills.
• Third level qualification in a construction related discipline desirable.
