EHS Manager – Cork

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a EHS Manager for projects based in Cork. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client that is well known throughout the Building and Civil Engineering Industry. The client is renowned for their high-quality workmanship and extremely organised approach to each project that they work on.

The client is seeking a candidate with a great interest in Health and Safety and highly knowledgeable in current legislations and procedures. The successful candidate must be experienced in managing EHS systems and EHS Officers.

The successful candidate will be required to visit sites and will need to be flexible in travel.

 

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Management Team on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters
  • Manage the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental plans are continuously developed to current legislations
  • Plan and coordinate the Health and Safety team to ensure each project matches requirements
  • Ensure each EHS Officer is managed correctly that they are clear on their duties
  • Ensure that EHS Officers conduct site inspections and that all relevant paperwork is filed and reports are complied
  • Ensure that any incidents on site are reported appropriately and procedures are put in place to avoid future occurrences
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in regards to Health, Safety and Environmental Management in processes within the company
  • Prepare and coordinate training for all employees
  • Maintain extremely high standards of Health and Safety
  • Complete any other duties as and when required

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Health and Safety and Environmental Qualification
  • 5 years’ plus experience in a similar position
  • Ability to manage teams
  • Excellent numeracy skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Manual Handler Trainer
  • Experience in working with ISO45001 and ISO14001
  • Full driving licence
