Electrical Design Engineer Cork €55-60k
INFORM3 is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer for a market-leading company based in Cork.
As a member of the Electrical Design team, you will be responsible for the project design output to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets. The successful candidate will be contributing to the primary and secondary designs on a variety of substation projects.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and as a team member carrying out the production of complex Electrical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
- Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives.
- Providing and supporting in the design and advisory services
- Producing concept, preliminary, and detailed designs
- Part of a multi-disciplinary team providing technical delivery of projects using the latest digital design techniques.
- Collaboratively work within multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years experience performing in a similar role
- Previous experience with MV/HV & Substation Design
- Detailed understanding of relays, protections schemes, circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing
- Knowledge of renewables desirable
- Experience of using electrical design software to produce detailed electrical calculations
