Electrical Engineer Galway €55-65k
INFORM3 is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer for a market-leading company based in Galway.
As a member of the Electrical Design team, you will be responsible for the project design of substations to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets for their expanding client base.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree certified with at least 4 years of experience performing in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and as a team member carrying out the production of complex MV/HV substation designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
- Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives
- Producing concept, preliminary, and detailed designs
- Collaboratively work within multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years experience performing in a similar role
- Previous experience with MV/HV Substation Design
- Detailed understanding of relays, protections schemes, circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing
- Knowledge of the Power or Renewables sector is desirable
- Experience in using electrical design software to produce detailed electrical calculations
