Electrical Quality Supervisor       County Down    £40-50k

Our client based in South Down is recruiting for a Quality Supervisor who can support the electrical department with their ongoing works and variety of projects.

The role holder will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of electrical works carried out which includes direct labour and sub-contractors. The primary purpose is to ensure all electrical works comply with relevant NICEIC/RECI Best Practise Guidance, Electrical Safety Procedures and Client Specifications.

This role will be office based with occasional site visits.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure work meets NICEIC/RECI standards
  • Store and maintain Electricians Qualifications and ensure they include the scope of works carried out
  • Ensure all Electricians possess the essential electrical safety tools and equipment and have access to suitable warning notices
  • Review all certification recorded and ensure satisfactory before being issued to clients.
  • Carry out and record regular quality assurance inspections on all Electricians to ensure works are to a satisfactory standard
  • Ensure appropriate actions are created for any failures identified on-site and timely resolutions are implemented.
  • Regularly liaise with and support Contract Managers within the region to identify projects taking place which contain electrical works
  • Take the lead on all complaints relating to electrical safety and ensure they are documented and the Assurance Manager is notified.

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar quality assurance role
  • NICEIC or RECI certified
  • Electrician / Subcontractor people management
  • Electrical incident reporting, investigation and complaint handling
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and plan and problem solve
  • The ability to take ownership and drive forward a QA, Audit & Assurance
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for quality management
